Paypal downtime
Paypal serves as the primary payment gateway for many smaller merchants and is offered as a payment option by many larger e-commerce sites and retailers.
The August 4th of 2009, Paypal was down as we can see checking Twitter. Performance problem was detected and the outage affects some ebay transactions. During few hours, when you were trying to log in to Paypal, you get the message “Internal Server Error”.
On the announement broad, paypal posted:
“We are aware that you currently may be unable to log into your PayPal account or to complete a payment. We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing. Please note that we are working to resolve these issues as soon as possible and will provide further updates as they become available.”
