Salesforce: contention within database tier
On Nov 10, 2012 at 00:18 UTC, salesforce.com Technology Team has discovered a service disruption issue on the CS9 instance. The problem was caused by contention within database tier. A manual intervention had to be performed at the database tier for a resumed of normal operations at 03:34 UTC.
Salesforce said:
During this period of time, customer may have experienced intermittent errors while accessing the Salesforce application.
